I’m a Connecticut trial lawyer who helps clients navigate complex legal problems—whether that means litigating a business breakup, negotiating a partnership separation, or getting the right contract in place to avoid court in the first place. My practice centers on representing individuals and businesses in intracompany disputes, business torts, commercial litigation, and fiduciary breaches. I also regularly handle employment matters involving restrictive covenants, unpaid wages, and wrongful termination.

I’ve served as lead counsel in various trials and arbitrations, but I don’t treat the courtroom as the only place to win. Some of the best outcomes come from strategy—sharpening the facts, narrowing the claims, and exploring creative paths to resolution. My focus is always the same: deliver efficient, effective results that let clients get back to what matters most—their business.

This blog is where I step back from the day-to-day and reflect on the trends, cases, and challenges I see in my work. Some posts break down appellate decisions with real-world implications; others draw from cases I’ve handled—what went wrong, what worked, and what could’ve been done differently to avoid the dispute altogether. My aim is to provide something useful—whether you’re a fellow lawyer, a business owner, or just someone who likes to understand how these disputes actually play out.

When I’m not working, I’m probably chasing my dog, Oliver, around the yard, traveling with my wife, Sarah, or trying to keep my golf handicap respectable.
